I Want To Experience Forgiveness

[This is my anecdotal version of a beautiful children's parable from Neale Donald Walsch, called "The Little Soul And The Sun". The story was paraphrased by my reiki teachers and evokes such emotion. I urge anyone to find the original version. Thank you.]

Two little souls, perfectly made by their Creator, were sharing a conversation.
With awe and wonder, they spoke at length about some of the amazing things in the Universe. They knew all there was to know about these things. However, they realized that knowing and experiencing are two very different things indeed.

"You know what i would like?" asked one of the little souls. "I would like to go to Earth and experience forgiveness."

Filled with love, the other perfect little soul decided then and there to help.
"Okay," said the happy little soul. "I'll go down to Earth,too. And, i will do something so terrible, so aweful to you, that you will have the chance to forgive me..."

"But..." pleaded the beautiful little soul,
"...in the moment that i do this terrible, aweful thing,
too terrible to imagine...

...remember who i am."
Because i will have dimmed my light so much, that i will have forgetten."

While we are hurt by others, let us remeber who they are. They, too, are GoD's precious little souls. Let's love them all.
